“UK economy still a concern”

“The UK economy is expected to have shrunk again in the second quarter of 2011, meaning that the UK is increasingly likely to enter a ‘double-dip recession’.

The new figures, from Citigroup and Scotia Capital, predict the UK’s GDP to shrink by 0.2 percent during the April to June period.

It was found that the manufacturing sector is the largest contributing factor to the economy’s decline, with another survey finding yesterday (June 11) that confidence in the sector was at its lowest since 2009.”
